Breaking New Ground

This year, we’re putting in a new 1/2 acre bed of flowers and herbs.  You can see the progress in the photo below – the new big plowed patch to the left of the pond is going to be the area of focus.  We’re so excited to get plants in the ground once the weather gets a little more stable.  Some of the more unusual crops we’ll be planting are roselle hibiscus (for red zinger tea), heirloom cotton (for flower arrangements), and chamomile.
