This weekend we are catering the flowers for a great wedding at the North Carolina Botanical Garden. Every wedding is a lot of fun for us, because the types of brides (and grooms) that pick us tend to know the types of flowers we have and be familiar with our rustic, colorful aesthetic. This wedding is no exception – the bride wants all the flowers and herbs we can pack into our bouquets. Since it’s early in the season, things are a little trickier than usual. For instance, we had to harvest all the flowers before last night to avoid exposure to the 20 degree temperatures last night. Luckily, we had plenty of hyacinths, daffodils, and wildflowers and shrubs around the property to make some awesome bouquets. They are now in the refrigerator waiting to be delivered to the venue tomorrow.
If you have a big day coming up (wedding, commitment ceremony, 40th birthday, or whatever), and you want sustainably grown, seasonally appropriate flowers to decorate the venue, visit our events page for more info!
