The status of statice

Now that summer has kicked in, our summer flowers are really starting to thrive.  Statice, dahlias, lilies, and sweet william are all in full bloom.  Zinnias and gladiolus are not far behind.  We only started growing statice this year and it’s already become one of my favorite plants.  The basal rosettes of our seed-grown plants (Pacific series) come in virtually every shade.  As an added bonus, we can enjoy them as fresh cut flowers or dry them for later in the season.
We should have plenty of statice and other flowers at the Durham Tuesday market and the Chapel Hill Saturday market for the next 3 months or so!
